The SimTecT 2002 Conference Organising Committee invites you to participate in the 8th SimTecT Conference taking place in Melbourne, Australia.

Melbourne

Melbourne is an active part of Australia's Simulation Community. The Defence Science and Technology Organisation, branches of Defence acquisition and training, automotive and general manufacturing and major Universities are located in or near Melbourne. An attractive international tourist destination, average temperatures in Melbourne are mild with temperatures in May ranging from 11°-19°C.

Venue

The Melbourne Convention Centre is superbly situated on the banks of the Yarra River, close to the heart of the CBD and just 30 minutes from Melbourne's International Airport

Floorplan

The floorplan has been designed to ensure good visibility and access to all stands. Maximum traffic flow will be encouraged by the placement of catering stations at key points in the exhibition areas as well as by constant referral.

Promotion of the Conference and Exhibition

To ensure maximum attendance, the SimTecT 2002 Conference will be widely promoted throughout Australia and overseas by:
  • distribution of the conference main announcement and registration brochure
  • SimTecT 2002 website
  • advertising within industry related journals and magazines
  • promotion at other industry related conferences/meetings; and
  • special interest groups eg medical

Walls Walls are 2.4m high and finished in blue velcro compatible fabric
Fascia Fascia is 30cm deep and finished in teal Velcro compatible fabric
Company name 1 company name per stand in computer cut vinyl standard style letters. Max of 25 Letters-Pty Ltd etc deleted. Corner stands have 1 name
Lights and power 2 x 150 watt lights per stand and lights are mounted on the inside of the front fascia. One single power point per stand- 1,000 watts (4amps) capacity
Welcome Reception An invitation is extended by the Conference Committee, for two people per exhibition booth booked to attend the Welcome Reception as their guests on Monday 13 May 2002

Cost $3080 per 3m x 2.4m booth (GST Inclusive)
Discount of $1,540 (GST Inclusive) for the first booth for all SIAA Full Members

Exhibition Details

The Exhibition will be held in The Melbourne Convention Centre. The attached floorplan has been designed to ensure good visibility and access to all stands. Maximum traffic flow will be encouraged by the placement of catering stations at key points in the exhibition areas as well as by constant referral.

The Welcome Reception will be held in and around the Exhibition.

There are a maximum of 45 exhibition booths available and all morning, afternoon teas and lunches will be held in the Exhibition areas.

Move-in / Move-out times
Move in: Sunday 12 May from 1400
Move out: Thursday 16 May from 1400

Exhibition staff will be on site during the Sunday exhibitor move-in period to ensure that the final exhibitor's requirements can be met.

Exhibition hours

The exhibition will be officially opened during morning tea on 14 May 2002. The exhibition hours will be:

Monday 13 May 1000-2000
Tuesday & Wednesday 14-15 May 0900-1700
Thursday 16 May 0900-1300

How to book and details of payment deadlines

Sponsorship

In order to confirm your sponsorship, we will require the Application to Sponsor form and fifty percent (50%) deposit payment to be forwarded by return mail. Balance of the sponsorship must be received by 22 March 2002.

Exhibition

Early booking is necessary, as space is limited. Booths will be allocated strictly in order of the date the deposit payment and application to exhibit form is received. In order to confirm your exhibition space we will require the Application to Exhibit for and fifty percent (50%) deposit payment to be forwarded by return mail. Balance must be received by 22 March 2002.

Cheques should be made payable to SimTecT, and forwarded to the SimTecT 2002 Conference Secretariat, ConSec - Conference Management, PO Box 3127, Belconnen Mail Delivery Centre ACT 2617 Australia.

Cancellation Policy

In the event of withdrawal of sponsorship/exhibition booth booking please be advised that unless that particular area of sponsorship/booth is resold, the conference will reserve the right to retain deposit monies received.

Please Note:

  1. Acknowledgment in the main announcement and registration brochure, the Conference Program/Handbook and the Conference Proceedings is subject to sponsorship confirmation prior to printing deadlines.
  2. The production of banners, transparencies and any promotional material is the responsibility of the sponsor.

Cancellation Policy

In the case of cancellation of a booth/s please be advised that unless the organisers are able to resell the booth/s there will be no refund on monies paid. If the balance payment on the booth/s is not received by the due date, the allocated booth/s will be cancelled.
